Do existing Republic users and Note holders need to register on INX?

Existing Republic users will need to register on INX and verify their information in order to trade the Note.


This process can be started by logging into the Republic platform and accessing the Note page http://republic.com/trade-with-inx where users will be able to link their Republic account to an INX account.


Users that have already gone through KYC with Republic and have a Republic wallet set up

Account setup will ask users to confirm that their Full Legal Name, Phone Number and Address are accurate and up to date. If there are no changes to be made then you can press ‘Everything is correct’ to proceed. If you need to update or correct any of the displayed information press the ‘Update information’ button.

After this you will be asked to confirm secure sharing your information with INX. This is necessary for the linking of your account on INX and Republic accounts.

The information that will be shared is:

Full name, Email Address, KYC Information (SSN, DOB, Home address, Phone number and ID document), Your wallet address (public key).

After this a new window will open and log you into INX where you can continue creating your account there. Once done, your accounts on INX and Republic will be linked.

You will be asked to reset your new password to replace the initial password that was created for you through this flow.

Next you will have to fill in your Personal Profile information. This section includes:

Employment information

• Employment Status
• Most recent job title
• Most recent type of business (Industry)
• Most recent employer (Company) name

Investment Experience

• Are you an Accredited Investor?
• Have you invested in digital assets (Cryptocurrencies and/or Security Tokens)?
• Net worth
• Annual income
• Risk tolerance
• Investment Objective

Lastly, you will be asked to read and accept all applicable agreements for the account type you would like to open.

Users that have not gone through KYC with Republic and do not have a Republic wallet


The process is the same as the above described process but you will have to first setup your
Republic account and wallet before proceeding to create and link to an INX account.

Firstly, you will need to verify your email address.



Then the identity verification (KYC) section will appear requiring you to have a phone and photo of your Identity Document.

You will need to verify your country and your phone number to proceed. Then you will need to fill in the following details:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Address
• SSN (Social Security Number)
• Identity document

Once verification is complete, you will be taken to the Wallet setup page where you will have to first choose an authenticator app that will be used with your Republic wallet.

You will also be provided with 10 Backup codes that can also be used to login to your wallet in case you cannot access your phone for the authenticator code. Each of these codes can only be used once, so make sure to keep them safe and save them somewhere as they will only be displayed on this screen once and never again. Then you can proceed to set up your wallet.

You will have to create a suitable wallet password and then your seed phrase will be made available to you. This will be a collection of random words that you will have to use in certain circumstances.

Store this seed phrase, as if you are accessing your wallet on a new unrecognized device then you will be asked to login using this seed phrase or if you ever believe your password has been stolen/lost you will need it in order to reset your password to your Republic wallet.

You will then be asked to confirm your seed phrase before proceeding. 

NEVER SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE WITH ANYONE!

After successful confirmation you will be prompted to finish up INX setup and complete your INX account as was also shown in the previous section.
